The ground2goal philsophy & approach

Release yourself from:

All-or-Nothing, On-Again-Off-Again, and “I blew it… I’ll start again Monday” thinking.

And do this instead:

Live a grounded, strong, healthy life. One day at a time, each and every day.

What waits for you with Ground2Goal Fitness:

A healthy, strong lifestyle process that’s real — and lasts. Well-curated, credible coaching grounded in every-day approaches to strengthen your physical fitness and cultivate more awareness and focus on what matters for your health and well-being.

You define, practice, learn, recalibrate, and refine your processes and approaches. You build it. No boiler-plate programming and ‘just tell me what to do’ programs here. Because those do not work. The only way to truly understand, own, and sustain your desired outcomes is for you to be the co-architect. But you have a powerful, dedicated ally in me.

As your coach and trainer:

I listen. I recommend solid, credible resources. I help you focus where it matters.

I ensure your physical training is properly calibrated, rooted in proven practices, challenging yet safe, and always moving you forward (whether we’re in a progression or regression phase).

Through all of this, you get better and better at navigating and course-correcting toward a stronger, leaner, more resilient body.

We work smart. We work hard. We see real results. Results we can hold, and continuously improve upon.

We see opportunities for challenge where you can push past barriers and discover strength you didn’t know you had. We also watch for signals which tell us to pull back a bit. We maximize results and protect against overuse, injury and burnout.

And together, we celebrate the wins. And wins come often. Even the smallest wins matter. In fact - they matter much more than the ‘big wins.’ You’ll see!

One day at a time. Perfectly imperfect. Each and every day.

Release the need to chase “New Year, New You” programs.

Rise above ‘Tomorrow,’ ‘Monday,’ and ‘Next Month’ and ‘Next Time’ thinking that denies the power of your life right now - today… and robs you of real, incremental progress.

Recognize that if those things haven’t produced lasting results and healthy habits that you’re still using consistently… all those “hyped-up, quick-fix, big-promises” programs and the mindsets they drive are likely the very thing holding you back from your best health and fitness long-term.

Work with me to take action differently — Ground-focused rather than goal focused.

And those historically-elusive goals emerge as realities.

I can’t do it for you; and can’t Make you do it. But what I can do is support you with:

  • Careful and wise counsel,

  • Resonance and reassurance,

  • Guidance in your efforts to help you optimize the results they produce, and

  • Calibration in your pacing and expectations around your desired growth and change.

Where we start: growing a practice of Invigorating Daily movement

Build your foundation. Work within your ground. We need balance, stability, agility, endurance, and strength — from the inside out — quite literally. Random workouts and mass-marketed, attention-grabbing programs often require fitness levels you might not yet have built. Let’s instead work in targeted ways that keep you coming back each day - healthy and ready for the next good session.

Daily work will get you there. Don’t chase numbers. Of course identifying important baselines and working to improve key metrics in your health and fitness is a good and worthy use of your time. But when you exercise for the sake of numbers, you’ll lose your ground… and you’ll stop; from burnout, injury, or both. Let’s rise above that. It will change everything. For the better.
